SYNTHESIS OF THE VULNERABILITY

An attacker can send a special SNMP packet to the management
interface of Cisco IPS, in order to trigger a denial of service of
MainApp.

Impacted products: Cisco IPS

Severity: 2/4

Creation date: 28/02/2014

DESCRIPTION OF THE VULNERABILITY

The MainApp process of the Cisco IPS product manages alerts,
events, the web service, etc.

However, a malformed SNMP packet destined to the management
