Unidad Editorial Chooses ForeScout CounterACT to Protect Diverse Network

ForeScout Technologies, Inc. announced that Unidad Editorial, Spain’s leading multimedia group, providing information and entertainment to households worldwide, has selected ForeScout CounterACT™ to provide real-time visibility of all devices and protect the organisation’s diverse network, encompassing 2,600 endpoints across 14 locations.
Unidad Editorial, owner of cutting edge media outlets including El Mundo, Marca, Expansión, Telva, and Radio Marca, was searching for a dynamic and intuitive network access control (NAC) solution to manage and protect its network by users and devices. Specific NAC requirements included: agentless, out-of-band, automatic identification of devices, built-in policies and reports. Unidad Editorial also required a solution enabling greater authentication and flexibility, without disrupting user productivity.
Unidad Editorial had already evaluated traditional NAC solutions before being introduced to ForeScout CounterACT by security service provider Factum IT and Spanish distributor Ingecom. Mario Trotta Moreu, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Unidad Editorial, said, “We quickly saw that CounterACT was extremely simple to implement since the 802.1X protocol does not need to be orchestrated throughout the organisation, nor does it require agents to be installed. Once the NAC is connected and the initial settings are determined, it allows all devices to be automatically detected, classified and analysed - that alone was very valuable.”
