New range of secure payment solutions offers choice and significant cost savings towards PCI DSS compliance

March 2010 by Marc Jacob

Customer interaction specialist The Logic Group has announced the launch of its new range of Secure Payment Solutions. Aimed at providing merchants, retailers and acquirers with flexible payment platforms, a choice of hardware or value-add options and significant cost savings, The Logic Group’s portfolio of Secure Payment Solutions offers customers a range of options on the road towards PCI DSS compliance while allowing them to take advantage of potentially significant cost benefits.

In today’s marketplace there is a clear recognition that a “one size fits all” approach does not reflect the reality of most organisations and that allowing for future options and choice are vital ingredients for many companies in their evaluation of solutions. In many cases, organisations have initially secured card data at the centre of their infrastructure. Now the imperative is to secure their remote sites, including for example, retail stores. Equally, some organisations operate environments where card data availability is not a requirement, providing an opportunity to remove it from the infrastructure all together and reap significant cost savings.

Against this backdrop, The Logic Group has announced a range of new solutions designed to meet the differing needs of the largest companies through to smaller mid-range merchants.

Solve Centurion: a new state of the art European payments authorisation and settlement platform. It provides merchants with a powerful secure platform and the capability to accept transactions from multiple channels including physical points of sale such as in retail stores, through to contact centres and websites. The solution provides the highest levels of security for stored card data at rest.

Solve DataShield extends payment solutions to provide PCI DSS scope reduction. It uses end-to-end encryption technology to secure card data within a secure PIN Entry Device and transfers it across the network only decrypting it at a secure, PCI DSS compliant central point. Solve DataShield also supports tokenisation which includes the replacing of card data with a unique token coupled with PIN Entry Device (PED) security measures to detect potentially fraudulent devices. The combination of end-to-end encryption and tokenisation allows card data to be removed from an organisations infrastructure, thereby reducing the scope of PCI DSS compliance.

Solve Praetorian is a secure payment gateway, primarily aimed at banks and card processors. Capable of managing the sorts of transaction volumes associated with acquiring platforms, it offers high performance payment acceptance, security and flexibility across multiple channels and devices.

The solution portfolio highlights;

 Payment platforms built with PCI DSS compliance in mind and featuring a state-of-the-art architecture designed for ease of integration and ongoing management.

 Solutions designed for clients in the UK and Ireland that have actual or evolving needs for European operation.

 Payment Solutions that deliver significant choice benefits:

o Choice of deployment methods – software solutions that can be installed in the clients environment and data centres, a customisable Managed Payment Service delivered from The Logic Group’s PCI DSS compliant data centres or a pre-accredited standardised Managed Payment Service.

o Choice of interfacing to a variety of pin entry devices and brands so that merchants are not locked into one particular device or supplier

o Choice of bank acquiring services in the UK and across the rest of Europe.

 A rich variety of value added options including contactless, e-gift, Tax Free Shopping, Dynamic Currency Conversion and pre-paid card support.
