Dictao Integrates Apple Biometric Fingerprint Technology ‘Touch ID’ in Its Mobile-Based Strong Authentication and Digital Signature Offer

June 2014 by Marc Jacob

Dictao, publisher of software solutions for digital trust and security, announces that its product Dictao Cloudcard, for mobile-based strong authentication and digital signature, supports the Apple ‘Touch ID’ fingerprint recognition technology.

To boost the development of new mobile services (m-banking, etc.), Dictao provides solutions to secure identities and transactions in a mobile context.

Dictao Cloudcard, a solution for mobile-based strong authentication and digital signature, is a key product of the Dictao offering. Dictao Cloudcard provides strong user authentication and universally recognized digital signatures, secures access to Web portals, and completes sensitive operations, using only a mobile device.

After Apple’s announcement on June 2, 2014 at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Francisco that the company will integrate the Touch ID feature, Dictao immediately developed the necessary functions to ensure that Dictao Cloudcard users will be able to fully benefit from this new technology.

This fall, once the iOS 8 is available, Dictao Cloudcard users will be able to complete strong authentication and digital signature operations using fingerprints, on any iPhone or iPad that supports Touch ID. This solution will combine a high level of security with a streamlined user experience.

Laurent Fournié, Director of Products and Solutions at Dictao, states “We are thrilled to integrate the Touch ID biometric technology in Dictao Cloudcard, our solution for mobile-based strong authentication and digital signature. This innovation furthers the Dictao Cloudcard mission to provide a solution that is universal (multi-factor activation), streamlined and easy to use (the user just places a finger on the Touch ID reader on a smart device), available anywhere (the user can access the service from any device), cost efficient (no deployment of additional hardware), and highly secure (patented triple factor authentication that is currently undergoing international certification).”
