Clavister Partners with DataCom and Ruckus Wireless to Secure WiFi Network for the ÅF Offshore Race 2015
June 2015 by Marc Jacob
Clavister has partnered with DataCom and Ruckus Wireless to build a large, secure and reliable WiFi network for the 2015 Royal Swedish Yacht Club ÅF Offshore Race in Stockholm.
With over 200,000 spectators expected at the event, the network has been designed to handle multiple access points and a large volume of concurrent users. It covers the entire island of Skeppsholmen in the centre of Stockholm. By implementing web filtering and managing bandwidth usage, Clavister’s technology will provide spectators and participants with secure, high-performance access to WiFi.
Clavister’s solutions are used to secure some of the world’s largest outdoor Wi-Fi networks, such as the 2015 World Ski Championships, and a ‘smart city’ project in Brazil which will deliver secure wireless networks in 1600 locations in the country, serving 30 million citizens in partnership with the KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Saab.
