On January 29, 2016, Dell Software announced the release of Dell One Identity Safeguard for Privileged Passwords. Intended as an update to its privileged password management offerings, the product will not act as a complete replacement to its legacy product, Dell Quest TPAM. Safeguard is a new product for privileged password management only, requiring customers to continue TPAM use for privileged session management until the capability is made available in Safeguard. Adding to this inconvenience, Dell customers are not provided with an upgrade path from TPAM to Safeguard. As a result, current customers are also faced with the added expense of professional services required for data migration to the new product.

In this time of uncertainty and transition for Dell customers, BeyondTrust will institute a replacement program to offer organizations an opportunity to migrate to a more mature, feature-complete privileged access management solution at a reduced cost. As part of BeyondTrust’s replacement program, Dell TPAM customers will have the opportunity to migrate to BeyondTrust PowerBroker Password Safe at a competitive price through June 30, 2016.
