AlgoSec Security Management Suite Automatically Migrates Business Application Connectivity to the Public Cloud

June 2015 by Marc Jacob

AlgoSec released the latest version of the AlgoSec Security Management Suite. With version 6.8, AlgoSec delivers the only solution in the industry to automate the provisioning of business application connectivity across dynamic, hybrid data centers.

With AlgoSec, organizations can now greatly simplify the migration of individual servers, or entire applications to the public cloud, and ensure required connectivity remains secure and compliant, irrespective of the underlying security controls in use. The new release also provides full analysis of Amazon Web Services (AWS) Security Groups to extend visibility and unify security policy management across the hybrid data center. AlgoSec will be showcasing this latest version of its Security Policy Management Suite at Cisco Live 2015, June 7-11, 2015 at booth #1324, and at the Gartner Security & Risk Management Summit 2015, June 8-11, 2015 at booth #437.

The AlgoSec Security Management Suite delivers a complete, integrated solution for managing complex network security policies — from the business application layer to the network infrastructure. With powerful visibility across virtual, cloud and physical environments, the AlgoSec Suite automates the entire security change management process to accelerate application delivery while ensuring security and compliance.

In its recent ’Forecast Analysis: Public Cloud Services, Worldwide, 4Q14 Update’1 Gartner forecasts IT spending on public cloud services to grow at a CAGR of 16.9% from 2013 through 2018. Specifically the report states that, "The IaaS segment of the public cloud services market continues as the highest growth segment with a predicted five-year CAGR of 31.8%. The IaaS market is expected to grow to $37 billion through 2018." The report also adds that "As the market for cloud services continues to mature, we are seeing increasingly complex use cases where public cloud services are incorporated with other private cloud, hosted private cloud and hybrid cloud scenarios."

AlgoSec Security Management Suite version 6.8 enables users to:

Automatically Migrate and Provision Business Application Connectivity to the Public Cloud: AlgoSec provides easy-to-use workflows that navigate the user through the entire migration process. It identifies which application connectivity flows need to be migrated to support business requirements, provides recommendations on how to modify them, and then automates the entire change management and migration process, thereby simplifying extremely complex and risky processes and saving significant time and effort.

Provide Comprehensive Security Policy Management for Amazon Web Services: With this new version, AlgoSec delivers comprehensive security policy management for AWS Security Groups including change management, network visualization and traffic simulations, policy and risk analysis, auditing and compliance reporting. Through this support, companies can now seamlessly extend their security policy to critical business applications deployed on AWS and ensure that their organization is fully secure and compliant.

Configure Cisco Routers Automatically: Approved security changes can now be automatically pushed to Cisco routers via AlgoSec’s ActiveChange™ technology, thereby enabling zero-touch router configuration.

Enhance Network Topology Analysis: Building on its industry-leading network and topology analysis, AlgoSec now accurately models Layer 2 devices in its topology map, and supports F5 LTM devices.

The AlgoSec Security Management Suite version 6.8 is generally available, with pricing starting at $10,000.
