Vigil@nce - Zend Framework: two vulnerabilities

January 2016 by Vigil@nce

This bulletin was written by Vigil@nce : http://vigilance.fr/offer

SYNTHESIS OF THE VULNERABILITY

An attacker can use several vulnerabilities of Zend Framework.

Impacted products: Zend Framework.

Severity: 2/4.

Creation date: 24/11/2015.

DESCRIPTION OF THE VULNERABILITY

Several vulnerabilities were announced in Zend Framework.

The Zend_Captcha_Word and Zend\Captcha\Word feature do not use
sufficient entropy, so an attacker may guess a random number.
[severity:2/4; ZF2015-09]

The Zend\Crypt\PublicKey\Rsa\PublicKey class uses an
OPENSSL_PKCS1_PADDING padding, which has a known Bleichenbacher
vulnerability, so an attacker can decrypt a message.
[severity:2/4; CVE-2015-7503, ZF2015-10]
