September 2012 by Vigil@nce
This bulletin was written by Vigil@nce : http://vigilance.fr/offer
SYNTHESIS OF THE VULNERABILITY
An attacker can truncate a dialog window, in order to invite the
victim to click on another button, in order for example to accept
to download a file.
Impacted products: openSUSE, Opera
Severity: 2/4
Creation date: 30/08/2012
DESCRIPTION OF THE VULNERABILITY
Dialog windows inform users, and generally have an accept and a
cancel buttons.
However, an attacker can resize (truncate) this window, so that
buttons are not visible. If another window with buttons is located
below, the user can then think that buttons belong to the top
window.
An attacker can therefore truncate a dialog window, in order to
invite the victim to click on another button, in order for example
to accept to download a file.
