Palisade DecisionTools Suite Risk Analysis Software now Compatible with Office 2013 and Windows 8

Risk and decision analysis software provider Palisade Corporation announced the immediate availability of a substantial update to its DecisionTools® Suite 6 package for Microsoft Excel. New version 6.1 is fully compatible with Excel 2013, Project 2013, and Windows 8. This is particularly important for academic users who are among the earliest adopters of new Microsoft releases and operating systems. The DecisionTools Suite includes the market-leading risk analysis tool, @RISK.
Additionally, the latest version has now been translated into Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Japanese, and Chinese. The user interface, example models, tutorials, and help files have all been carefully translated. Users can specify the language at install, and change languages later - all from the same installer. This is a major benefit to multinational companies seeking to roll out a single risk analysis standard around the world.
On the use of @RISK, a key component of the DecisionTools Suite, LEGO’s Senior Director of Strategic Risk Hans Læssøe comments, “@RISK enables the Enterprise Risk Management team to undertake in-depth technical analysis of the risks that are inherent in our operation.”
Building on Læssøe’s observations, Art Misyan, Director of Foreign Exchange at pharmaceutical giant Merck, notes the ability of @RISK to compare different assumptions of uncertainty. “We love it,” says Misyan, “because it…gives us the flexibility to evaluate alternative distributions on screen.”
