CommonIT to launch a Secure Client for the Cloud at Infosecurity London

April 2010 by Marc Jacob

CommonIT, developer of the Virtual Browser solution for secure and mobile access to web and cloud services, will be introducing the new version of its technology to the European market at Infosecurity Europe in London (Earls Court), April 27th to 29th.

Since January 2009, Virtual Browser proposes a radical new approach to enterprise control of end-user web browsing. By executing the browser in a virtualized environment, the solution effectively renders end-point devices invulnerable to web-based attacks. Furthermore the patented session isolation technology at the core of the solution ensures that individual browser sessions are executed in isolated virtual machines. Business-critical applications, running in their own session, are protected against the risks of uncontrolled Internet browsing.

CommonIT’s solution could also be an answer to compatibility issues. Virtual Browser allows users to run multiple isolated browser sessions, each with its own browser configuration, simultaneously. System administrators can ensure that the optimum browser and plugin configuration is delivered for each application, transparently for the end user and independent of the hardware platform.

David Dupré, VP marketing at commonIT explains: “As end-point configurations are upgraded to new system releases, such as Windows 7, Virtual Browser facilitates support and compatibility for end-user access to legacy services, incompatible with the most recent browser releases”. During Infosecurity Europe, commonIT will present a new version of the Virtual Browser client, running on iPhones.

About commonIT:
