Atlantis Computing signs TDAzlan SDG

October 2013 by Marc Jacob

Atlantis Computing™ and specialist technology distributor TDAzlan SDG, announced details of their exciting new channel distribution partnership. Over the last 12 months Atlantis has experienced tremendous growth and success in the European channel as well as a strong increase in end user demand for its technology; with this agreement TDAzlan SDG will manage the rapid expansion of Atlantis’ reseller base in the UK and allow more organisations to benefit from its award winning solutions.

The two companies enjoy tremendous synergy: TDAzlan SDG’s strong technical capabilities and track record with vendors such as Citrix and VMware make it a clear fit for Atlantis, while the Atlantis Computing range of solutions will allow the distributor to strengthen its portfolio in the Desktop Virtualization and Software-Defined Storage space by delivering solutions that cut costs, boost performance and de-risk VDI and virtualized XenApp projects. This partnership will enable Atlantis to leverage TDAzlan SDG’s reach, resources and relationships to rapidly expand its existing channel and accelerate its growth.

Founded 28 years ago, TDAzlan SDG today covers 47 territories, offering its vendors the ability to scale into new geographies quickly, smoothly and very cost-efficiently. It is strongly focused on new technologies to enable its reseller partners to bring the latest solutions to their customers thus maximising revenue opportunities. By offering Atlantis’ ILIO product lines for VDI and XenApp to its resellers TDAzlan SDG will allow their customers to:

• Cut CAPEX and OPEX costs up to 90% – save hundreds of pounds per desktop as SAN/NAS capacity and performance requirements are reduced significantly to deliver virtual desktops that cost less than PCs.

• Deliver amazing user experience – faster than PC performance with fast boot times, less than 1 second application launches and near-instant email and desktop searches. Virtualized XenApp deployments will experience a significant boost in application performance reducing helpdesk call load.

• Reduce deployment risks – fully automated installation, configuration, sizing and datastore creation; High-Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR). Addresses the risks associated with Virtualized XenApp Write Cache growth issues to keep project costs under control.

• Simple to manage at large scale – simplified implementation architectures, reduction in network storage traffic and a drastic drop in storage required – stateless implementations can be deployed with no storage with ILIO In-Memory solutions – leads to deployments that can be easily managed at very large scale. The largest VDI deployment in the world – with 100,000 users – is implemented with Atlantis ILIO.

Atlantis ILIO offers a unique, software-only storage optimization solution for virtualized environments that reduces storage capacity requirements by up to 90%, delivers up to 10x better performance, while enabling rapid de-risked deployments at enterprise scale. Atlantis ILIO has been recognized as an innovator in desktop virtualization, receiving top awards such as Best of Citrix Synergy 2012, Best of VMworld US & Europe 2012, and was named a winner at the recent VMworld US 2013. The technology is relevant for virtualized environments across all vertical markets, which has driven over 100% year over year revenue growth. With over 350 customers in production, including some of the largest desktop virtualization and virtualized XenApp deployments in the world, Atlantis ILIO is a proven technology that fundamentally changes the economics of storage in virtualized environments. With SDG’s distribution expertise, even more organisations across the UK will be exposed to this unique solution.
