Arbor Networks Unveils Newsletter Featuring Gartner Research on “DDoS Protection Against the New Multi-layer Attacks”

Arbor Networks, Inc. announced the availability of a new newsletter featuring Gartner research on “DDoS Protection Against the New Multi-Layer Attacks.” As the size, scale and frequency of attacks continues to rise with attackers employing multiple threat vectors to initiate attacks that are more difficult to detect and mitigate, DDoS has become a more serious concern for IT security professionals than ever before.
In this Gartner newsletter, you’ll learn what Gartner has to say about the evolution of DDoS attacks, strategies and best practices for protecting the enterprise and recommendations on moving forward. This newsletter also includes a full Gartner report, titled: “2013 Security & Risk Management Summit: To the Point: Deny Denial of Service Attacks.”
According to Gartner: “All organisations should analyse their need to expand business continuity and disaster recovery plans to include a response to DoS attacks. Other best practices relate to services and products, which are not mutually exclusive. For example, any organisation with a Web presence that is crucial to its business may subscribe to a clean-pipe service, a CDN and a managed DNS service. It may also implement dedicated DoS detection and mitigation appliances on-premises. A combination of different DoS defenses will likely be necessary for organisations for which a Web presence is crucial.”
