SYNTHESIS OF THE VULNERABILITY
A local attacker can manipulate data on ext4 on the Linux kernel,
in order to alter a file.
Impacted products: Fedora, Linux.
Severity: 1/4.
Creation date: 20/04/2016.
DESCRIPTION OF THE VULNERABILITY
The Linux kernel uses the ext4 filesystem.
However, when it reassembles file fragments, a computation error
leads to file corruptions.
A local attacker can therefore manipulate data on ext4 on the
Linux kernel, in order to alter a file.
