SimpliVity’s Hyperconverged Infrastructure to Support VMware vSphere 6
February 2015 by Marc Jacob
SimpliVity announced today at the VMware Partner Exchange (PEX) conference in San Francisco that its hyperconverged infrastructure will support VMware vSphere 6. The Company also announced coming support for the Intel Haswell processor, bringing enhanced performance to its OmniCube hyperconverged infrastructure system, and adding the SimpliVity OmniStack Integrated Solution with Cisco UCS C240 M4 Rack Server systems to its portfolio.
As an established partner with VMware, SimpliVity will support VMware’s hypervisor upgrade, vSphere 6, in its hyperconverged infrastructure technology.
SimpliVity will also add support for the new Intel Haswell processor by the end of the first quarter for its OmniCube hyperconverged infrastructure platform, and extend its support for Cisco UCS systems. Specifically, support for the new Haswell processor will enable customers to leverage SimpliVity’s OmniStack hyperconverged infrastructure platform with Cisco UCS C240 M4 Server Rack systems: enterprise-class servers designed to deliver exceptional performance, expandability, and efficiency for storage and IO-intensive infrastructure workloads.
