Secure Mobile Email by LetMobile Now Integrated with LANDESK Solutions, Expanding its Reach Globally

LANDESK announced that Secure Mobile Email by LetMobile, a gateway-based security solution for enterprise mobility, is now integrated with LANDESK solutions and available to existing and new LANDESK customers. With the integration of Secure Mobile Email by LetMobile, which LANDESK acquired earlier this year, the company is continuing to deliver on its strategy as the global authority on user-oriented IT.
LetMobile’s Secure Mobile Email takes an innovative approach to mobile email and data security. Rather than focusing on containing and protecting data on mobile devices, Secure Mobile Email prevents data from being stored on mobile devices. This protects sensitive corporate data in the event a mobile device is compromised in any way, such as if it were lost, stolen or malware-infested, as the data does not reside on the device itself.
Secure email apps often lag behind their native counterparts in both features and usability. Most solutions are so focused on security that the user experience is an afterthought. With Secure Mobile Email, users continue to use the native email app on their device of choice, unencumbered by the additional security provided by the solution.
Secure Mobile Email is a perfect complement to LANDESK’s existing gateway solution, which enables the management of data and data security for laptops. The following are some of the features Secure Mobile Email gives users:
· Seamless user interface. Users no longer need a separate application or container environment. They can access their corporate email right from the native email app on the mobile device of their choice.
· Highest level of security. Secure Mobile Email keeps data tightly secured, using a multi-factor authentication system and keeping corporate data and passwords on the gateway level, off the device so they are not vulnerable if mobile devices are lost or stolen. Each access is also subject to DLP policy and all data transmissions take place over an encrypted channel.
· Cost effective deployment and management. Secure Mobile Email takes only minutes to install and get running and does not require any changes to existing network infrastructure, allowing businesses to scale more easily.
· Auditing and DLP. Give IT administrators and security/compliance officers the ability to configure content-based, context-based and location-aware data loss prevention (DLP) rules to protect company data.
Secure Mobile Email can be used in conjunction with LANDESK Mobility Manager, another mobile device manager client the customer has already deployed, or even without any MDM solution in place.
Prior to its acquisition, Secure Mobile Email by LetMobile was widely used; however, with LANDESK, the solution now has a global reach and has been localized into 11 languages.
