SThree recruits Good Technology to provide enterprise-grade mobile security and control to 1,000 employees

Recruitment specialist SThree, is supporting 1,000 of its employees with enterprise-grade mobile security and control as part of its newly introduced ‘bring your own device’ (BYOD) model. The company is implementing Good for Enterprise™ from Good Technology, the provider of secure and managed enterprise mobility and collaboration tools, to manage multiple mobile devices being used by nearly half of its workforce.
SThree, which specialises in placing permanent and contract staff in niche markets, is not unique in the challenges it faces with staff bringing their own smartphones and tablets into work to use them for both personal and business purposes, as well as more demand for mobile computing. The company recognises this as an opportunity to increase productivity, efficiency and client service, by enabling staff quick and easy access to critical corporate information and applications on the go.
Good for Enterprise allows employees to use their own personal device to access corporate email, calendar, contacts, documents and applications, while ensuring sensitive or confidential client and candidate information is 100% secure. Data is ‘containerised’ – keeping corporate information encrypted within the application, separate from the personal data held on the rest of the device. The corporate data is kept secure within the container and can be easily managed by SThree’s IT department.
Director of IT Services at SThree, Garry Lengthorn, said: “Being able to finalise contracts and share information securely, remotely and flexibly means the difference between a sale and a missed opportunity. Consumerisation is an interesting opportunity in our organisation due to the proliferation of Generation Y graduates, but it comes with serious security risks and the BYOD element can be complicated to implement effectively. Good Technology offers a managed secure ‘turnkey’ solution for all devices and platforms, which enables BYOD and generates efficiencies and cost-savings, allowing us to nurture the flexible working culture our business needs without compromising on security.”
Good for Enterprise also safeguards against lost, stolen or damaged personal devices – allowing data to be wiped remotely from the device at the application level, quickly and comprehensively, while keeping personal employee information intact.
