International Conference on information Security opens in Kuala Lumpur

Hacker Halted Asia Pacific 2011, one of the premier information security conferences in Asia Pacific will offer highly technical workshops and conference on latest threats and security concerns by world renowned industry leaders and experts.

For three consecutive days, more than 700 professionals and experts will gather at the 6th Hacker Halted Asia Pacific International Conference, November 15th-17th, to spur the understanding of various countermeasures and to overcome the security violations present today.

Recognized as the leading information security conferences and riding on the increasing turnout and success of past events, Hacker Halted Asia Pacific 2011 is set to be bigger and better with a line-up of eight world’s leading experts in information security scheduled to take part in this year’s event. Hacker Halted Asia Pacific 2011 is the 21st in the global series and 6th in Malaysia after being successfully run in USA, Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan & China, amongst others.

According to Managing Director EC-Council Asia Pacific, Wilson Wong, the goal of Hacker Halted Asia Pacific 2011 is to provide the C-level management, Senior IT professionals as well as Technical Infosec professionals with the best practices in acquiring, implementing, managing and measuring information security postures of their organizations.

The conference tracks shall cover in-depth topics on various security issues plaguing the industry such as Advanced Forensics Analysis-Why Reverse Engineer; Web Shells-SQL Injection; I Built What?-Why The Bad Guys Do It Better; Taking on Advanced Persistent Threats; and discuss the different ways of protection and countermeasures in dealing with cyber threats.

Hacker Halted Asia Pacific 2011 provides a full day conference, November 15, of keynotes, panel discussions, presentations and demos from the world’s foremost experts in cybersecurity, followed by 2 day hands-on workshops, November 16-17 that will split into 4 tracks covering the topics of "Crash Course on Penetration Testing", "Network Defense", "Crimeware Attribution" and "Web Application Security".
