First Scandinavian ARC VdS-certififed

September 2016 by Marc Jacob

ARCs monitor and process signals generated by alarm systems, which are used as an integral component of the overall security concept for protected objects. Only then can immediate and precisely defined measures be initiated in cases of emergency. In fire or intrusion alarms, seconds often decide if lives can be saved, crime can be prevented or property and even entire sites can be preserved. Therefore, the professional execution of the important ARC processes is an indispensable part of many protection concepts. Now Europe’s No.1 Institute for Corporate Security and Safety has audited the first VdS-certified ARC in Scandinavia: the ARC of Norwegian company Falck Redning AS. Falck provides numerous loss prevention services on six continents and is amongst other things the world’s largest emergency and rescue services provider.

The clearly documented reliability and the specialist skills of Falck were presented by the emergency service provider after the successful certification together with VdS experts in two workshops for the Norwegian insurers and other control room operators. The VdS certification aroused great interest among the participants of the workshops organised by Falck.
