Feeder to distribute Virtual Browser by commonIT

French startup commonIT and Feeder Group, a Marseilles-based distributor of IT solutions, have concluded an agreement under which Feeder becomes a distributor of the Virtual Browser solution, an innovative response the problems of guaranteeing secure mobile web-based access to business applications and resources.
With a turnover of €30M and reseller networks covering France, North Africa and Canada, Feeder is an ideal partner for commonIT. “Analysts and early adopters have responded enthusiastically to the launch of the Virtual Browser solution. Demand is strong, and we need to rapidly develop channels to broaden our market reach. Feeder delivers technical expertise, sales know-how, and a network of 2500 resellers, allowing us to focus our resources on R&D, market development and key partners and accounts” says Albino Pili, Director of Sales and co-founder of commonIT.
The distribution agreement calls for sales of €1M during the first year. “Virtual Browser is a revolutionary approach to web browser security and mobility, and we’re convinced it has massive market potential” says Patricia Lalet, Sales Manager for Networking and Security at Feeder, adding “Feeder Group is the sole distributor for Optenet in France and North Africa, we are the leading distributor for Kaspersky in France, and the leading WYSE distributor in the southern Europe region. We have a thorough understanding of the markets for security, virtualization, and thin client solutions, all key environments for the Virtual Browser product”.
The professionalism of the commonIT executive team also helped influence Feeder’s decision. According to Claude-Michel Pageault, co-president of Feeder, “Our confidence in the potential for success of this partnership is reinforced by the fact that commonIT’s founders are experienced R&D, marketing, and sales professionals, with a history of success in the information security market”.
Feeder and commonIT will move quickly to roll out a reseller recruitment drive, which will be unveiled at the ITPartners conference in Paris (3rd-4th February). “Resellers will have the opportunity to test drive the Virtual Browser solution and familiarize themselves with the commonIT Reseller Program* says Albino Pili. “We’re offering an innovative approach to information security which has significant reseller benefits in terms of added value and margins.”
