Expert comment: Tesco just the tip of the mobile cybercrime iceberg

In light of the news that Tesco had in fact been warned by multiple security experts that the mobile banking app was flawed, I just wanted to share comment from Kirsten Bay, President and CEO of Cyber adAPT, the mobile-enabled enterprise security and attack detection company.
The Tesco Bank hack is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of cyber criminals leveraging the mobile-enabled platform as a means of supporting new and innovative ways to exploit users. If these events teach us anything it’s that the adversary is actively testing the waters to not only exploit users, but also their devices and applications. Organisations of all sizes must place much greater urgency upon securing and monitoring these devices and their traffic.
