Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson is showcasing its expansive telecom portfolio and
highlighting several notable recent deployments as part of its activities at Mobile World
Congress (MWC) this week. The latest projects – all deployed using leading-edge prefabricated
solutions – include a switch site in the Middle East, a telecom data center in Eastern Europe
and transatlantic cable landing stations in Canada and the UK.
Emerson Network Power is introducing two new product platforms for the wireless access market: the NetXtend™ M Series outdoor enclosure and the NetSure™ 5100 hybrid power system. Both are available in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Featuring a robust enclosure design for maximum durability in tough environments, the NetXtend M Sers available in three standard sizes with space for customer equipment, power and batteries. The enclosure family offers multiple thermal solutions that, in combination with the NetSure 5100 system’s industry-leading environmental endurance, optimize energy efficiency and lower OPEX.
The new NetSure 5100 hybrid system features plug-and-play modules for solar converters, DC-DC converters and rectifiers. It can be easily configured for generators, solar and other DC sources, such as wind and hydrogen power. The integrated, user-friendly NetSure Control Unit (NCU) has an intuitive interface and multiple communication options which enable easy connection to a remote infrastructure management system.
Whether the end-user application is on- or off-grid, the NetXtend M Series and the NetSure 5100 can be adapted to changing conditions and demands, making them an ideal fit for a myriad of deployments.
