Digital Realty Named 2017’s Most Resilient Data Center Operator

Digital Realty took out the #1 spot, edging ahead of Cyxtera, in Cloudscene’s Fast 50 Most Resilient Data Center Operators.
Both Digital Realty and Uptime Institute have provided quotes in the media release below, with various images also attached.
Some of the key points:
Data center resilience is of critical importance, with unplanned downtime costing an average of US $740,357 per outage or up to US $9,000 a minute
Cloudscene is the world’s largest cloud directory and an important industry resource for the data center sector. We reviewed the facilities of the top 150 global data center operators against certification data from the Uptime Institute
Data collated is entirely quantitative and based on three Uptime certifications: Design, Constructed Facility and Sustainable Operations
The overall score was based on a weighting given to each of the above certifications, which was increased based on Certification Tier eg. Tier I, Tier II, Tier III, Tier IV.
