DATA4 Group has obtained 7 ISO certifications through Bureau Veritas

May 2016 by Marc Jacob

The result of a successful certifications program, DATA4, the European specialist in ultra-secure and hyper-connected data hosting, has obtained 7 certifications (5 in France and 2 in Italy) through Bureau Veritas, the world leader in Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) services, thanks to an effective management policy encompassing quality, safety, the environment, and energy performance.
As the cloud continues to flourish, increasingly robust guarantees of safety and quality are required when outsourcing data in order to provide clients with reliable, high-performance infrastructure and services.

With customer satisfaction at the heart of its concerns, in 2015 DATA4 launched an ambitious certification program in an effort to become a reference point for “best practices” recognised by the profession. In just one year, the group managed to obtain seven certifications through Bureau Veritas: five for its main data center campus in Marcoussis, to the south of Paris (ISO 9001: Quality Management, ISO 14001: Environmental Management, OHSAS 18001: Occupational Health & Safety, ISO 27001: Information Security Management, ISO 50001: Energy Management), and two for its site in Milan (ISO 9001 and ISO 27001).

The next step will be, in 2017, to renew and harmonise the certifications obtained in France and Italy, before expanding the group’s continuous improvement strategy to its platform in Luxembourg.

Determined to deliver a premium quality service, DATA4 is supporting its clients, partners, suppliers, and all of its staff with a commitment to meet all legal and regulatory requirements that apply to its business, guarantee continuity of service, build and maintain a trusting relationship with its various stakeholders, and improve its energy efficiency while simultaneously limiting the environmental impact of its business. DATA4’s overarching concern is to provide its clients with bespoke ecosystems that are reliable, high-performance, innovative, and environmentally friendly.

Aware of its carbon footprint, DATA4 is doing more to reduce the energy use and PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) for its data centers, primarily through more energy efficient design, innovation, and the recycling of waste heat produced by its buildings which, in France, will be used to heat organic greenhouses around its facilities in partnership with EDF and the French Environmental Agency (ADEME).
