Clavister Releases Latest cOS Core Enhancing Next-Generation Firewall Performance

Clavister has announced the release of its latest operating system, cOS Core version 11.00, delivering performance levels up to 600% higher than previous OS versions.

The Clavister cOS Core version 11.00 operating system comes with a range of new features including enhanced anti-spam functionality and malicious link protection. Key enhancements include:

• A multi-core architecture with interface poll offloading boosting plaintext performance by up to 100%
• Intel QuickAssist crypto-accelerator boosting VPN performance by up to 500%
• High performance ALG with HTTP inspection improving WCF performance by up to 300%

The announcement follows on from the launch of the Clavister W50, bringing performance capability, port flexibility and scalability to data centers, service providers and enterprises.

The Clavister W50 delivers firewall performance of up to 55Gbps, providing a powerful, and scalable network security solution, offering future-proofed port flexibility via its interface expansion module slot and a selection of port options, to meet all future business requirements. It can also support up to eight million concurrent connections, delivering up to 8Gbps VPN performance with advanced VPN capabilities including Gateway-to-Gateway and roaming clients.

The latest software version is now available for all existing Clavister customers with supported products including E80, W20, W30 and the newly introduced W50.
