COMITEM has chosen SAN SENTINEL to offer its clients consulting services, which allow them to have a complete overview of their storage infrastructure within minutes

SAN Sentinel SAS, publisher of Sentinel Navigator, a Cloud/SaaS software to manage storage infrastructures for EMC, IBM, HP and Netapp storage arrays, has signed a partnership agreement with COMITEM, a consulting company specialized in distributed architectures.
The consulting services offered by COMITEM allow companies to control shared and heterogeneous environments on a regular basis. They improve the cost-efficiency ratio of the entire storage infrastructure and of the operating systems, while taking into account the storage arrays, the network and servers whether they are physical or virtual.
Thanks to this service, clients can take reliable decisions and define the best suited procedures all the while guaranteeing the implementation of storage solutions. It saves space by identifying servers/applications with highest consumption/growth rate in order to switch them to “Thin Provisioning”, and by giving a precise inventory with historic. The clients can plan proactively the capacity level upgrades by managing storage growth. They can thus anticipate their consumption and take proactive rather than reactive actions.
“To face the storage infrastructure changes of our clients who have become multi-suppliers, we had to find a simple, fast and efficient solution. We chose SAN Sentinel which allows our clients to inventory, within minutes, on a regular basis and at a lower cost, not only the entire storage arrays but also the SAN network or the capacity used by the connected servers”, says Thierry Hérambert, General – Manager of COMITEM.
As services in Saas « software as a service » mode are available without any installation, they reduce administration costs and replace the less viable and trivial daily tasks which consist in trying to obtain array information by writing “home-made” scripts, transferring the results and manually combining them into spread sheets, a much more costly and unreliable method.
« By using the SAN Sentinel technology, COMITEM thoroughly follows the recommendations of experts who, in order to face storage growth, encourage companies to monitor their infrastructures by having proper control and knowledge of the exploited resources.” says Jéronimo Munoz - COO of San SentineL.
