Bouygues UK builds foundation for future with Easynet Global Services

May 2014 by Marc Jacob

Bouygues UK is fast becoming one of the shining stars in the UK construction industry. Now the organisation, part of Bouygues Construction, is preparing for the next stage in its evolution by signing up to a suite of new IT services from Easynet Global Services.

Bouygues UK has grown significantly in recent years through a strategy of organic growth and targeted acquisitions. Its IT infrastructure must remain a strong foundation on which to drive the business forward, whilst also being scalable so that it can integrate new operations and functions quickly and easily, as necessary. Easynet is delivering IT services which include a 100-sites MPLS network, as well as colocation and Internet services.

Having worked with Bouygues UK for seven years, Easynet has recently demonstrated its understanding of the business by proposing, then designing, a bespoke Framework Agreement which clearly outlines the business and services required and guarantees economies of scale. This Framework incorporates pricing, project and inventory management, giving Bouygues UK transparency of costs, services and timings, whilst also outlining measures of success. Having a Framework Agreement in place streamlines and simplifies the technology purchasing processes for Bouygues UK, whose in-house IT function, Structis, is tasked with delivering IT services to all Bouygues Construction’s businesses across the globe.

Adrian Thirkill, UK managing director for Easynet Global Services said, “It’s been fascinating and rewarding to work with Bouygues UK over the years, and witness its success as it has evolved into one of the most inspirational organisations in British construction”. He continued, “Procuring and delivering IT can be hugely complex when you’re integrating different businesses, so providing the right IT services alongside a bespoke Framework Agreement for Bouygues guarantees value, performance and delivery, and sets them up for the future”.

Madani Sow, Chairman of Bouygues UK said, “Our ambitious growth strategy has seen us integrate some strong and well respected UK construction businesses with our existing UK operations in recent years. Underlying this ambitious strategy, we need reliable, robust IT services to help us quickly and effectively integrate our systems. Easynet has worked closely with us for many years, and has spent time understanding our strategy and business so that they can support our needs”.
