Avira Claims No. 2 Spot in Global Market Share for Antivirus OPSWAT 2011 Market Share Report Confirms

Avira announced it is now the second largest antivirus security company in the world as measured by installments of its software, according to the 2011 OPSWAT Market Share report.
The OPSWAT report detects installments of data security applications on Windows systems from a worldwide sample of 192,000 computers, and compares percentage market share among competitive vendors. The data used in the current market share report was collected between November 16, 2010 and November 15, 2011. The full OPSWAT report can be found here.
