Atos accelerates shift to cloud with Atos Cloud Services for VMware Cloud on AWS

Atos announces the launch of Atos Cloud Services for VMware Cloud on AWS. The service offering, fully integrated into VMware Cloud Service allows customers to move applications to cloud faster and seamlessly extends their on-premise VMware environments to VMware Cloud on AWS. The consistency of services, user experience and operations mean our customers will have the flexibility to migrate to cloud at the pace that suits their individual business while making them more resilient to future changes.
A consistent VMware hybrid cloud platform across on- and off-premise environments, hosting traditional and cloud workloads on a single cloud platform, Atos Cloud Services for VMware Cloud on AWS has been designed as a stepping stone to public cloud with immediate access to the entire AWS portfolio of services and capabilities.
In addition to accelerated cloud migration, the new service helps customers anticipate and deal with “compelling events” such as a quick exit from a data center, a ransom threat, the urgent implementation of a disaster recovery plan, or a cybersecurity data vault. Atos can migrate at scale entire environments into VMware Cloud on AWS faster compared to native public cloud alternatives. This approach paves the way for a simpler, more cost-effective hybrid or multi-cloud strategy to serve commercial, technical and regulatory requirements, and launch new services quickly. The solution also reduces the reliance on under-utilized or underperforming data centers for customers to adopt more sustainable sources of compute and support Net Zero objectives.
Atos migration and cloud transformation services follow a proven migration framework leveraging Atos CloudCatalyst, a joint initiative with AWS for simple, fast, low-risk and cost-effective journey to cloud.
