Appointment of a new director and strengthening of cybersecurity at Weave

Bertrand Helfre joined Weave, an « augmented strategy » consulting firm, as Director. He will oversee all cybersecurity offers within the firm. In carrying out his duties, he will be driving all cybersecurity projects for Weave’s clients and will help to develop security and data protection consulting. He will use the experience Weave has acquired for many years (created in 2001) in security architecture (directories, authentication bases, access control). Bertrand will be supported by a team entirely dedicated to the cybersecurity offers, enabling Weave to become a new key player in this market.

A career rich in consulting and operational

Bertrand is 41, and graduated from EFREI Paris. He began his career as Systems and Networks Engineer at Bouygues Telecom. In 2006, he joined Accenture France (Technology Consulting department) as information security expert, achieving many projects, to include security in transformation processes. In 2001, he became Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) within the specialized financial services department of the Société Générale Group (Insurance, ALD automotive, Consumer Finance and Equipment Finance).

In 2014, he joined EY Advisory as Senior Manager. He supported many clients in the improvement of their security strategy and in the protection of their information (Security strategy, personal data protection (GDPR), information classification, etc…)

In addition, Bertrand Helfre holds several international certifications CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, ISO 27005 Risk Manager. He is also a member of the ISACA, AFAI and the CLUSIF and host a workshop on GDPR led by the CIGREF, the AFAI and TECH’IN France.

In his new position, Bertrand Helfre has the task of managing the commercial development, supervising the missions and communicate about cybersecurity. He will bring his cybersecurity skill and will add Weave’s approaches such as data analysis, design-thinking, prototyping and iteration.

He’s joining the Business Technology unit of Weave.
