cloudgermany.de Goes Online at Interxion’s Frankfurt Data Centre

May 2011 by Marc Jacob

Interxion Holding NV, an European provider of carrier-neutral colocation data centre services, today announced the implementation of cloudgermany.de’s cloud computing infrastructure at Interxion’s data centre campus in Frankfurt.

cloudgermany.de offers Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) as well as cloud storage solutions, both meeting the highest data centre infrastructure requirements for connectivity, high availability, performance and reliability. As an additional service, the company offers customers the possibility to migrate their existing IT infrastructure into the cloud, thus enabling them to benefit from cloud computing advantages quickly and reliably. cloudgermany.de’s customers are, amongst others, reputable DAX-listed companies and innovative German medium-sized companies.

The IaaS solution includes virtual servers that are operated in completely closed, multi-tenant systems. They enable the end users to share and use IT capacities and storage space without the need to implement additional safety features by themselves. Consequently, information can be retrieved, edited and stored anytime and anywhere, without the risk of disruptions or data losses. The cloud storage solution, on the other hand, allows the administration of stored data in a highly secured and encrypted environment. Furthermore, companies can use business continuity functions and prove compliance and data protection conformity by certified structures.

For the operation of their services cloudgermany.de uses Interxion’s Cloud Hub, a community of connectivity and cloud service companies, while also taking advantage of Interxion’s state-of-the-art data centre infrastructure, which enables them to offer their services even more efficiently due to close proximity and choice of value-adding partners. cloudgermany.de’s decision to operate their platform at the Interxion data centre is particularly based on low-latency opportunities through direct connections with a wide choice of carriers and Internet Service Providers (ISPs). As Interxion operates data centres in 11 European countries, cloudgermany.de is able to mirror and retrieve complete customer systems in the respective countries with low latency. Furthermore, the high flexibility and scalability of Interxion’s data centre infrastructure provides growth opportunities for the company and its customers.

“Performance, reliability, high availability and excellent connectivity of data centre infrastructures provide the basis for the establishment of cloud delivered services. Interxion offers all these parameters with cutting-edge performance. Additionally, you can find an interesting community of value-adding partners at Interxion’s Cloud Hubs that no other colocation provider can offer,” said Andreas Jakob, Managing Director, cloudgermany.de GmbH. “We expect a continued exponentially growing demand for our cloud services. Therefore, we depend on a flexible and scalable infrastructure as well as suitably trained staff as provided by Interxion.”

“We are very happy to welcome cloudgermany.de as a new customer from the cloud sector. The company’s business model is very promising. And each value-adding partner settling on our campus strengthens the role of our central data hub’s sustainably,” said Peter Knapp, Managing Director, Interxion Deutschland GmbH. “The professionalism and high availability of our services, together with cutting-edge connectivity and outstanding ISO-certified processes, clearly differentiates us in the market and makes us attractive for cloud infrastructure and application providers.”
