Vasco Digipass for Mobile available for DOCOMO i-mode

VASCO Data Security Inc. announced that DIGIPASS® for Mobile is available to DOCOMO i-mode users as an i-?ppli application. NTT DOCOMO is Japan’s leading provider of mobile voice, data and multimedia services. With the development of DIGIPASS for Mobile for i-mode, VASCO’s mobile solutions now cover all of the major mobile carriers of Japan.
DIGIPASS for Mobile is VASCO’s authentication solution leverages the internet enabled mobile telephone for authentication purposes. DIGIPASS for Mobile can be used for two factor authentication and digital signature for m-banking, e-banking, and e-commerce. The two factor authentication can also be used for enterprise security applications.
DIGIPASS for Mobile is also available for au by KDDI, and SOFTBANK MOBILE Corp. handsets as a Java application. Other handsets that are supported include the BlackBerry and Windows Mobile platforms that are widely used by the mobile workforce.
DIGIPASS for Mobile largely focuses on the ease-of-use of the enhanced security for mobile applications. Two authentication applications are provided: a response only authentication application and a challenge/response or e-signature authentication application. Menus, messages, logos, colours, font can be fully adapted to the service provider’s branding, supporting the brand recognition for the end-user. The menus also contribute to the mobile experience offering additional services such as ATM/branch locator, information services etc.
DIGIPASS for Mobile also is available as a software development kit (DIGIPASS® API) for service providers and mobile application developers wanting to integrate DIGIPASS One-Time Password and digital signature capability directly into mobile applications while maintaining the existing end user experience and back-end infrastructure.
DIGIPASS for Mobile is OATH and AES compliant and is based on proven VASCO VACMAN® Controller technology. DIGIPASS for Mobile supports over 400 different types of mobile devices.
