TrustPort reasserted its superb ability to detect malware

TrustPor has won second place in the detection of malware. The April comparative test of antivirus products performed by the independent testing laboratory Virus Bulletin confirmed the high quality of the 2013 TrustPort Antivirus version. The same antivirus technology is also implemented in other TrustPort company security products.
In the last Virus Bulletin comparative test 40 security products from around the world were competing for the best reactive and proactive detection of malware. TrustPort Antivirus detected 95,24 % of all malicious samples during these tests. It won second best prize and reasserted the fact the product belongs to the cutting edge solutions of antivirus products currently available on the market.
”Detection was excellent, as one would expect, with superb scores in both the RAP and Response tests, and there were no problems in the core certification sets, thus earning TrustPort a VB100 award“, comments TrustPort’s success John Hawes, the author of the last Virus Bulletin report.

The reactive and proactive detection value shows, if a product is able to reveal not only harmful codes discovered in the past, but also new security threats. TrustPort Antivirus also detects unknown malware types thanks to its heuristic analysis. The final score of reactive and proactive detection is very important. The user’s computer is actually only fully protected thanks to the timely and precise detection of harmful codes.
