TDC Selects Arbor Networks for Network-wide Visibility and Security Protection

March 2010 by Marc Jacob

Arbor Networks, a provider of security and network management solutions for global business networks, announced that TDC, a provider of communications solutions in Denmark, has deployed Arbor Networks Peakflow SP platform (“Peakflow SP”) to deliver network-wide visibility and security against a host of online threats including botnets, worms and distributed denial of service attacks. As the online host of the 2009 Climate Conference in Copenhagen, TDC required a state of the art security solution that identified network-based attacks in real-time. After a careful review, TDC selected Arbor’s Peakflow SP for cost-effective, pervasive and intelligent visibility into network and application level traffic.

“TDC has chosen Arbor because of its extensive experience securing the world’s most sophisticated next-generation networks. Its Peakflow SP platform combines visibility with action, enabling us to identify and mitigate attacks without interrupting legitimate business traffic. This is critical functionality for TDC, not just during a high profile event as the 2009 Climate Conference, but every day,” said Jess Julin Iben, executive vice president and chief technology officer at TDC.

“Across Europe, Arbor Networks works closely with the largest and most sophisticated network operators. We understand the threats and challenges they face on a daily basis,” said James Clegg, Arbor’s northern Europe regional director. “Certainly major events like the Copenhagen Climate Conference make the network a high profile target. However, we monitor more than 1000 denial of service attacks per day. When it comes to service provider network security, the threats are constant, growing more sophisticated and challenging. There are no off days in this business.”
