Swivel Secure Launches New Channel Programme and Embarks on Global Partner Recruitment Drive

June 2013 by Marc Jacob

Swivel Secure announces a new accredited partner programme and an aggressive channel recruitment drive that will dramatically expand its global network of sales partners in the next twelve months.

The recruitment drive is the next cumulative step in Swivel’s corporate development. It follows a number of recent product and operational initiatives designed to bolster both the Swivel solution and the company’s operational agility. The increase in global demand for Swivel’s pioneering multifactor tokenless authentication technology has been driven by the uptake of Microsoft Office365, together with cloud solutions such as Salesforce.com and Google Cloud, and virtual private network (VPN) services.

Typically, convenience and cost hold corporates back from adopting multifactor authentication since most solutions require investment in, and management of, physical tokens, which are susceptible to loss or theft. The Swivel solution removes these problems, enabling partners to displace token-based solutions with multifactor authentication delivered through a convenient tokenless environment, thus reducing cost, complexity and fallibility.

The Swivel Partner Programme is designed to provide the channel with the sales, marketing and technical support it needs to open doors, close deals and service the technical requirements of customers. Partners qualify for beneficial pricing according to their accreditation status, together with access to presales support, early stage technical training on new product release cycles, engagement with certified technical engineers and the opportunity to participate in a variety of joint marketing initiatives with the vendor.

A key element of the programme is a technical certification scheme for engineers, which offers partners the chance to generate additional sales revenues through the provision of additional professional support services for customers.

Swivel also launches a new channel portal today, in order to provide partners with a centralised online resource for Swivel sales material, training collaterals and technical documentation. The portal enables new and existing channel partners around the world to access Swivel’s knowledge bank and sales and marketing content at any time and from any location.

In order to support a sharp increase in market demand for tokenless authentication to be offered as part of a wider managed service, Swivel announced in January a new, short term, utility styled pricing scheme for channel partners operating in this market. Demand for greater flexibility in pricing has in part been driven by the increasing popularity of the Microsoft Office365 environment for which Swivel is the only approved tokenless authentication provider. Swivel complimented this move by transforming its platform development and rollout procedures in order to simplify the upgrade process and accelerate the delivery of new platform enhancements to customers.

The Swivel authentication platform was first launched in 2003. It is now used by major global enterprises, local government, the NHS and hundreds of smaller businesses, in over 35 countries, to remotely access their business networks, virtual desktops and cloud-based applications. Offering the widest range of user deployment options according to Gartner, the leading IT industry analysts, the Swivel platform offers the choice of mobile apps, SMS and interactive voice response channels when full two-factor authentication is mandatory.
