Scrambls for Files Wins ’Best Content Security’ at 2013 SC Magazine Europe Awards

Wave Systems announced it has been named winner of the ’Best Content Security’ category for Scrambls for Files at the 2013 SC Magazine Europe Awards. The winners were announced on April 23rd at an awards ceremony at the London Hilton attended by professionals from across the industry.
Scrambls for Files was chosen as the best solution for countering attacks on web-based content in the enterprise, earning the honour over competitors that included McAfee, Accellion, Trustwave, Cyber-Ark and Websense. The SC Awards Europe recognizes the best performers and innovators in the information security area. Entries are evaluated by those at the highest level of the information security profession and by a second panel made up of the SC Magazine editorial team.
Available since November, Scrambls for Files allows users to
– Safely and securely encrypt files stored uploaded to cloud storage services like Dropbox™ or Microsoft SkyDrive™.
– Set permissions so that only specific groups (based on email addresses or Facebook contacts) can access the content. IT can change those permissions at any time.
– Decrypt and display both text and files. Messages can be retracted or can be scheduled to appear or expire.
Scrambls can be used with any web service and is compatible with an infrastructure users already know and use (Facebook, DropBox, email, Yammer).
