Schneider Electric to showcase Prefabricated Datacenter at Data Centres Europe 2014

Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management will showcase a state of the art prefabricated data center unit that will give Schneider Electric’s enterprise customers and partners a first time opportunity to see its enhanced capabilities in data center prefabrication. The unit will be displayed outside the Grimaldi Forum at DCE 2014 in Monaco, May 27-29, 2014.

The announcement comes just four months after the acquisition of AST Modular and seven months after Schneider Electric rolled out a new line of 15 prefabricated IT, Power and Cooling modules and 14 reference designs. Schneider Electric’s Prefab Demo Unit comes in a 45ft enclosure and it features 10 IT racks, a modular APC Symmetra PX 48kW UPS, remote environmental monitoring, security access along with both APC InRow Chilled Water and AST Chilled Water Block cooling.
The new unit demonstrates Schneider Electric’s unique capabilities in IT space prefabrication that offer enterprise customers the benefit of easier design, faster construction, scalability and more predictable performance.

Schneider Electric is Patron of DCE 2014, and the event is also sponsored by many leading international companies including HP, Anixter, Digital Realty, Global Cloud Xchange, Digiplex, CommScope, Siemens, Infinity plus an extensive number of organization, industry and media partners including the European Data Centre Association and the Data Center Alliance. The annual European Code of Conduct Awards will be presented by the European Commission.

In a packed programme with 42 hours of content across four theatres, DCE 2014 is attended by 1500+ executives from across Europe. The conference will present a huge programme supplemented by end user case studies, demonstrating radical change in the data center, the impact of cloud and data as well as the latest innovations in cooling and electrical power. DCIM, SDN, prefabricated datacenters, finance, investment and the future market landscape also feature as key topics.
