SANS returns to Munich with new security training courses

December 2015 by Marc Jacob

SANS Institute returns to Munich in February with a week-long training programme offering 5 courses including the German debut of FOR585: Advanced Smartphone Forensics taught by Heather Mahalik. This in-depth course teaches the advanced skills necessary to detect, decode, decrypt and correctly interpret evidence recovered from a mobile device.

SANS Munich Winter 2016 takes place from Monday February 15th to Saturday February 20th at the Munich Marriott Hotel on Berliner Strasse. As well as SANS’ globally renowned training, the event also offers evening socialising and networking opportunities giving attendees the chance to learn from SANS Instructors and fellow industry peers in a more informal environment. The other four courses running in Munich are:

SEC401: Security Essentials Bootcamp Style with Chris Christianson

SEC505: Securing Windows with PowerShell and the Critical Security Controls with Jason Fossen

SEC511: Continuous Monitoring and Security Operations with Bryan Simon

FOR610: Reverse-Engineering Malware: Malware Analysis Tools and Techniques with Jess Garcia

These four courses have an associated GIAC certification and students can take advantage of a discounted rate for the certification attempt when registering for training online. For full information go to https://www.sans.org/event/munich-winter-2016/
