Riverwood Solutions Announces Expansion in Europe

Riverwood Solutions announced that Andrew Berger has joined the firm as Vice President of European Operations to manage a new regional headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland. The new Zurich office will support the company’s European growth and Mr. Berger will be responsible for all operations and business development in the region.
Mr. Berger joins Riverwood Solutions with 21 years of executive leadership and international business consulting experience in a wide range of areas including technology, supply chain, and innovative "C" level management strategy. Mr. Berger spent a total of 12 years at Andersen Consulting and then Accenture, where he became partner in just five years and delivered over $50 million in client projects. He led a team of 60 supply chain experts in Europe, and was instrumental in the implementation of major supply chain change programs for customers including BP Chemicals, BOC Group, ICI and Kodak. He also provided consulting services to technology companies such as Marconi, Pioneer Electronics, 3M, Sony, National Power, and BT.
Mr. Berger has experience in the set up of global operations and bringing products to market in over 20 countries while serving in executive positions at venture funded technology start ups. He is the author of two books (Supply Chain Cybermastery and Smart Things to Know about Six Sigma) and is a recognized keynote speaker on Innovation Management, Supply Chain, and RFID / anti-counterfeit technology. Mr. Berger began his career in the British Army, achieving the rank of Captain. He holds an MBA with Distinction from London Business School and a BSc 2:1 Honours, Bristol University.
