November 2007 by Marc Jacob

Qualys, Inc., the provider of on demand security risk and compliance management solutions, today announced that the company has been named a finalist for the Red Herring 100 Global Awards 2007, signifying the company’s growth and leadership within the security industry worldwide.

Red Herring 100 winners and finalists from North America, Europe and Asia of the last three years were eligible for the Global 100. The Red Herring editorial team used a very competitive process to whittle down the pool of 1,800 eligible promising companies to the 200 finalists of this first-time award. Evaluations were made on both quantitative and qualitative criteria such as financial performance, innovation, management, global strategy and ecosystem integration.

Qualys, with a five-year growth rate of 1,867 percent, is one of the fastest growing technology vendors in the world. Qualys has 3,200 active subscribers that have deployed over 5,500 appliances, performing over 150 million audits per year in 85 countries around the globe, including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, China, Canada as well as the United States.
