Proginov is awarded an extension of its authorisation to host personnal health data
November 2014 by Marc Jacob
Proginov, a management software publisher and host, has just been accredited by the French Ministry for Social Affairs, Health and Women’s Rights to provide "hosting services for personal health data collected using applications supplied by clients for medical follow-up purposes".
An extension of the previous accreditation
With this extension, Proginov expands the scope of its accreditation to all healthcare structure types and health professionals, as well as to providers of specialised solutions as part of its continuing development on the healthcare market.
Recognition of the reliability of its infrastructures
With the objective of guaranteeing the confidentiality and security of personal health data, the legislation requires all providers of hosting services for these data to obtain a ministerial accreditation, governed by decree No. 2006-6 of 4 January 2006. Consequently, this accreditation recognises Proginov’s hosting services as complying with the ethical, legal, technical and financial criteria assessed by ASIP Santé (French agency for shared health information systems). The software publisher, whose infrastructures are located near Nantes in France, offers its clients optimum guarantees with respect to data processing, security, integrity, confidentiality, availability, backup, control and retrieval of these sensitive data thanks to a fully redundant architecture. A host since 2001, Proginov’s experience allows it to offer secure, very high-quality services, based, in particular, on a dedicated environment, developed backup strategies, flow encryption and traceability of actions performed.
Once again, Proginov’s hosting model has been recognised by the Ministry for Social Affairs, Health and Women’s Rights as meeting the legal requirements relative to hosted data confidentiality and security.
