Perpetuity Training Academy Announces First Intake of MSc in International Security and Risk Management

July 2017 by Marc Jacob

Perpetuity Training Academy has announced that the first intake of the MSc in International Security and Risk Management is now underway. It is a unique collaboration between Perpetuity and the University of South Wales. The course is the first of its kind, setting a new benchmark for vocational and academic excellence.

Education & Training Director at Perpetuity, Ken Livingstone, said: "The course is designed to enable students to study around their other commitments, and by focusing on commercially relevant professional content and modern learning techniques we aim to provide students with the tools and academic qualifications to further their career."

Students have the option of completing the course in 12 or 24 months and the choice of two intakes a year. Key subject areas are criminology, loss prevention, crime at work, fraud, and terrorism along with, security management functions, strategy, finance and entrepreneurialism. Due to its content and flexibility the course has already received more than 200 enquiries and more than 60 applications.
All students joining the MSc are enrolled as full members of the University of South Wales, with access to all student resources including the University’s superlative on-line library.

A current student, Andrew Protheroe, had this to say about the MSc: "The course content is simple to digest, and a lot of thought has gone into its preparation. As I travel a lot, and most of my study is done on the move, that ability to download content to PDF has really helped. Another strong point has been the responsiveness of the Perpetuity Training Team when I have needed assistance. So far, so very good!"
