Opengear, a provider of critical infrastructure management solutions through advanced console servers, remote management, monitoring, and cellular out-of-band products, has signed an OEM representative agreement with NetXcom Holdings (Pty) Ltd and a distribution agreement with AxizWorkgroup, a highly respected value added distributor with headquarters in Midrand, South Africa.
With five branches in Southern Africa and additional branches in Namibia, Zambia, Botswana, Mozambique and Zimbabwe; AxizWorkgroup provides a range of value added technical, sales and marketing services to support over 40 technology vendors to a community of over 4000 resellers across these regions.

The agreement which came into effect on 01 August 2015 covers the entire Opengear portfolio of solutions with AxizWorkgroup providing a range of supporting services including first line support, training and certification, stock holding and financing of solutions.

The formal partnership was agreed upon following a number of successful “Proof of Concept” projects between Opengear, NetXcom and AxizWorkgroup.

The importance of IT resiliency is growing with IT infrastructure revenue in the Middle East and Africa region projected to increase from about $3.3bn to $3.8bn between 2013 and 2017 according to data from Statista.
