Mimecast rewarded for its customer service for the second consecutive year

February 2011 by Marc Jacob

Mimecast announced that it was awarded the Service Excellence Award at the recent KnowList Legal IT Awards, for the second consecutive year. TheKnowList Awards are dedicated to the strategic implementation of technology within the legal profession, recognising the success of key individuals, law firms and suppliers who are constantly striving to add value using IT. Mimecast beat tough competition from DocsCorp, G3, Phoenix, Pilgrim and Recommind for the top spot.

To win the award, Mimecast had to demonstrate excellence across a number of customer-focused criteria. The categories, each requiring specific customer endorsement, included adding value, productivity, environmental impact, cost reduction, client impact, innovation, unique offering and customer approval.

“To win such a prestigious award two years in a row is a testament to ongoing commitment from both our sales and service delivery teams to deliver an experience that exceeds our customers’ expectations,” commented Mimecast’s CEO, Peter Bauer. “We are always proud of award wins but to have our entry supported and enthusiastically encorsed by our client base is particularly satisfying. Mimecast has a long pedigree working with the UK legal community, and this recognition from TheKnowList shows that we are not letting our standards drop.”

Karen Jacks, IT Director at Bird & Bird commented; “Even though other providers offer hosted or cloud apps, the way that Mimecast delivers it adds a huge amount of value, such as with the digest message, and email continuity. It makes Mimecast seem very innovative in comparison to other competitors.”

"Mimecast was cheaper that the collective cost of all the other solutions it replaced so we started saving money straight away. In addition we recovered hardware and added the much needed ’always on’ business continuity facility that the replaced solutions didn’t offer. Mimecast saved us money, centralised email management, removed storage headaches and added business continuity. All in all a no-brainer really,” added Tim Hyman, IT Director at Taylor Wessing.
