June 2008 by Marc Jacob

Organizations of all sizes and from all industries face a myriad of corporate policies and evolving regulations governing the protection of personal and confidential data. However, the cost of proving compliance can be quite expensive if not automated to the highest extent. Lumension Security™, Inc., a global leader in security management, today announced the availability of a podcast titled, “Cutting the Cost of Compliance with Proactive, Policy-based Solutions.” In the podcast, Dee Liebenstein, senior director of product management at Lumension Security, provides insight on regulatory and corporate governance challenges and what methodologies organizations should adopt to simplify and minimize the cost of compliance.

Outlining key steps for establishing security polices to address these challenges, Liebenstein also discusses how to map controls to regulatory and policy requirements, and what types of solutions companies should employ to reduce the cost of compliance and safeguard proprietary data.
