Juniper Networks Positioned in Leaders Quadrant of Gartner’s recently published Magic Quadrant
December 2008 by Marc Jacob
Juniper Networks, Inc. announced it has been positioned in the “Leaders” quadrant of Gartner’s recently published Magic Quadrant for SSL VPNs.1 The report evaluates vendors based on the company’s ability to execute and completeness of vision in the SSL VPN market.
According to the Gartner report, “The Magic Quadrant considers which vendors likely will dominate remote-access VPN sales and influence technology directions through 2013, as well as which vendors are most visible among clients, generate the greatest number of requests for information and contract reviews, and account for the most new and ongoing installations in Gartner’s client base.” The report continues, “Leaders demonstrate balanced progress and effort in all execution and vision categories. Their actions raise the competitive bar for all products in the market, and they can change the course of the industry. To remain in the Leaders quadrant, vendors must excel in mobile access and protection and must dominate in sales.”
“Juniper has been #1 in worldwide SSL VPN market share since the inception of this category. We are pleased to be placed again in the Leaders quadrant for our SSL VPN product line,” said Mark Bauhaus, executive vice president and general manager of Service Layer Technologies at Juniper Networks. “Juniper continues to deliver the market leading SSL VPN in the world, and we have an unwavering commitment and focus on innovation and leadership in high-performance networking products that provide reliable anytime, anywhere secure access. Juniper’s Secure Access SSL VPN platforms remain the industry standard and preferred unified access solution for our enterprise and service provider customers worldwide.”
