INSIDE Secure and Thomson Video Networks team up to enhance premium content security for Sky Italia

announce that they have collaborated to enhance the secure delivery of
premium content for Sky Italia.
Sky Italia, the leading Italian pay TV platform, will deploy Thomson Video
Networks ViBE VS700
multiscreen video encoder with INSIDE Secure¹s Downloadable
DRM Fusion(TM) Agent to protect its content rights. Tested for their robust
interoperability, the VS7000 with DRM Fusion Agent now extend the
convenience and versatility of their joint solutions and provide better
security than conditional access services. Sky Italia will thus be able to
provide a high level of security for its Over-the-Top (OTT) services.
By combining INSIDE Secure¹s studio-approved DRM Fusion Agent with Thomson
Video Networks¹ widely-adopted ViBE VS7000 multiscreen solution, we have
removed a major obstacle that has hampered Web TV and OTT operators from
delivering quality experiences to their customers,² said Eric Gallier, vice

The Thomson ViBE VS7000 multiscreen video encoder delivers the best video
quality at different bit rates. It uses adaptive bit rate encoding
technology with real-time encryption to stream high-value secure content to
a complete range of devices. INSIDE Secure¹s DRM solutions enable Sky Italia
to acquire content from studios, hence making it a fundamental business
enabler for content distribution services on mobile devices and beyond.
