Gartner Gives Extreme Networks the Fourth Highest Score for Wired and Wireless LAN Access Infrastructure in 5 of 6 Use Cases

September 2014 by Marc Jacob

Extreme Networks, Inc. announced that in the recently published Gartner Critical Capabilities Report for Wired and Wireless LAN Access Infrastructure, Extreme Networks received the fourth highest scores for the following 5 out of 6 Use Cases*: Enterprise Unified Wired and WLAN Access, Enterprise Wired-Only Access, Enterprise WLAN-Only Access, Small or Remote Office, Guest or Hot Spot Access Only.

Gartner evaluates the critical capabilities of wired and wireless LAN access networking vendors against a set of common enterprise use cases. Network decision makers can use this research to determine which vendors have the best mix of capabilities for their specific usage requirements.

“Gartner’s Critical Capabilities report helps enterprises assess each aspect of their wireless LAN access implementations, including the mission-critical requirements in building out the access network to accommodate pervasive mobility,” said John Hanahan, vice president of product management for Extreme Networks. “Extreme is proud to have our award-winning solution included in this report. We believe that this impressive recognition provides customers considering wireless solutions with another reason why they should buy and implement solutions from Extreme Networks.”

For in-depth analysis of the critical capabilities - who the vendors are, and why Extreme Networks received the fourth highest score - a complimentary copy of the Critical Capabilities for Wired and Wireless LAN Access Infrastructure Report can be accessed at the link below.
