ForeScout CounterACT Wins 2012 Network Solutions Guide Best Network Access Control Award

May 2012 by Marc Jacob

ForeScout Technologies, Inc., a provider of automated security control solutions for Fortune 1000 enterprises and government organisations, has been recognised as having the Best Network Access Control solution as awarded by the Network Solutions Guide.

More than 50 judges from a broad spectrum of industry voices from around the world participated and their average scores determined the 7th Annual IT Industry’s 2012 Hot Companies and Best Product Award Finalists and Winners.

This recognition was due in part to ForeScout CounterACT’s superior ease-of-use, interoperability and functional breadth, as well as its flexible approach toward bring your own device (BYOD) policy, including native iOS and Android device support and mobile device management (MDM) integration options.

The ForeScout CounterACT platform provides real-time visibility to all devices connected to the network allowing the IT team to identify endpoint security gaps, such as out-of-date or inactive endpoint security software, and remediate those devices with little or no IT intervention. ForeScout Mobile, an add-on module to CounterACT, extends in-depth mobile security for Android and iOS devices to enable unified visibility and control for wired and wireless, managed and personal, and mobile and PC devices.

ForeScout was recently recognised by Frost & Sullivan as the largest independent NAC vendor, and one that is growing the fastest among leaders in the NAC market.1 The 2012 Market Analysis Report states that ForeScout’s automated security control platform meets and exceeds Frost & Sullivan’s NAC deployment best practices.
