Companies prepare for General Data Protection Regulation with Thales

June 2017 by Emmanuelle Lamandé

From 25 May 2018, any company wishing to do business in Europe must comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Thales offers a comprehensive range of cybersecurity solutions and is on hand to help customers adapt to this new regulatory requirement.

Companies now have less than a year to audit their data management policies and make the changes to their procedures required by the European Union. As the European leader in cybersecurity and a global leader in data security, Thales is fully mobilised to audit both their security systems and the compliance of the data security measures they have in place, as well as providing 24/7 supervision of information systems, cyberattack detection and data encryption solutions.

The GDPR imposes a number of obligations and formalises the concept of accountability, whereby companies are required to prove that they have effective data security measures in place. Thales has partnered with law firms around Europe to offer a comprehensive solution that guarantees legal and technical compliance with the new regulation.
